Operating from Toronto and Vancouver, we leverage artificial intelligence, remote sensing, and GIS to solve complex challenges across the land preservation, forestry, and agricultural sectors.

Korotu brings together a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data scientists, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and forestry experts working across our offices in Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia. Together with our talented staff, we develop award-winning technology recognized nationally by WWF-Canada's Nature x Carbon Tech Challenge, Foresight 50, and more.
We are united by a shared passion for the outdoors and creating meaningful environmental impact.

John has over 40 years of experience in the forestry sector, working with enterprise GIS, spatial and temporal modelling, and analyzing forest management outcomes. He is also a Professor at Algonquin College, specializing in remote sensing, GIS, land stewardship and forest management.
